Dr Simon Walton

Educational Supervisor

Dr Walton has been a GP for a long time but spent most of that time in Tanzania, working in both a rural and city setting. So he has a good idea of what health inequalities look like in a variety of settings. Since returning to the UK in 2016 he has worked as a partner in a large merged practice of 20,000 patients before working with Hope Citadel Healthcare. He became a GP trainer in 2018 and currently supervise ST1 to ST3’s as well as supervising 5th year medical students to different medical student study modules. He is a full time GP and has a leadership role within the company. He acts as a GP mentor and a clinical lead within several of practices. He is married with three children, two currently studying at university.
